The Macan Electric’s pre-crash front seatbelts will tighten automatically in the event the vehicle detects an impending crash, improving protection against injury significantly. The Prologue doesn’t offer pre-crash pretensioners.

The Macan Electric’s driver alert monitor detects an inattentive driver then sounds a warning and suggests a break. According to the NHTSA, drivers who fall asleep cause about 100,000 crashes and 1500 deaths a year. The Prologue doesn’t offer a driver alert monitor.

The Macan Electric comes with a full 4-year/50,000-mile basic warranty, which covers the entire truck and includes 24-hour roadside assistance. The Prologue’s 3-year/36,000-mile basic warranty expires 1 year or 14,000 miles sooner.

The Macan Electric’s corrosion warranty is 7 years longer than the Prologue’s (12 vs. 5 years).

J.D. Power and Associates’ 2025 survey of the owners of three-year-old vehicles provides the long-term dependability statistics that show that Porsche vehicles are more reliable than Honda vehicles. J.D. Power ranks Porsche above average in long-term dependability. With 16 more problems per 100 vehicles in the first three years of ownership, Honda is rated lower.

The Macan Electric has a standard locking charge port, which locks and unlocks with the power locks. The Prologue doesn’t have a locking charge port. A locking charge port prevents tampering and damage.

The Macan Electric’s launch control uses engine electronics to hold engine RPM’s precisely in order to provide the most stable and rapid acceleration possible, using all of the available traction. The Prologue doesn’t offer launch control.

For better traction and acceleration, the Macan Electric has larger standard rear tires than the Prologue (285/45R20 vs. 255/60R19). The Macan Electric’s optional rear tires are larger than the largest rear tires available on the Prologue (295/40R21 vs. 275/45R21).

The Macan Electric’s standard 235/55R20 front and 285/45R20 rear tires provide better handling because they have a lower 55 series front and 45 series rear profile (height to width ratio) that provides a stiffer sidewall than the Prologue’s standard 60 series tires. The Macan Electric’s optional 255/40R22 front and 295/35R22 rear tires have a lower 40 series front and 35 series rear profile than the Prologue Elite’s 45 series tires.

For better ride, handling and brake cooling the Macan Electric has standard 20-inch wheels. Smaller 19-inch wheels are standard on the Prologue. The Macan Electric’s optional 22-inch wheels are larger than the 21-inch wheels on the Prologue Elite.

The front and rear suspension of the Macan Electric uses air springs for a smoother, controlled ride than the Prologue, which uses coil springs. Air springs maintain proper ride height and ride more smoothly.

The Macan Electric has a standard driver-adjustable suspension system. It allows the driver to choose between an extra-supple ride, reducing fatigue on long trips, or a sport setting, which allows maximum control for tricky roads or off-road. The Prologue’s suspension doesn’t offer adjustable shock absorbers.

The Macan Electric has a standard automatic front and rear load leveling suspension to keep ride height level with a heavy load or when towing. The Macan Electric’s height leveling suspension allows the driver to raise ride height for better off-road clearance and then lower it again for easier entering and exiting and better on-road handling. The Prologue doesn’t offer a load leveling suspension.

The Macan Electric’s front to rear weight distribution is more even (48% to 52%) than the Prologue’s (54% to 46%). This gives the Macan Electric more stable handling and braking.

The Macan Turbo Electric handles at .98 G’s, while the Prologue Elite pulls only .80 G’s of cornering force in a Car and Driver skidpad test.

The Macan Turbo Electric executes Motor Trend’s “Figure Eight” maneuver 3.2 seconds quicker than the Prologue Elite (23.9 seconds @ .9 average G’s vs. 27.1 seconds @ .64 average G’s).

For greater off-road capability the Macan Electric Turbo/GTS has a greater minimum ground clearance than the Prologue (8.8 vs. 8.1 inches), allowing the Macan Electric to travel over rougher terrain without being stopped or damaged. The Macan Electric’s minimum ground clearance is .8 inch higher than on the Prologue (8.9 vs. 8.1 inches).

The Macan Electric is 3.7 inches shorter than the Prologue, making the Macan Electric easier to handle, maneuver and park in tight spaces.

The front grille of the Macan Electric uses electronically controlled shutters to close off airflow and reduce drag when less engine cooling is needed. This helps improve highway fuel economy. The Prologue doesn’t offer active grille shutters.

The Macan Electric’s standard towing capacity is much higher than the Prologue’s (4409 vs. 1500 pounds). Maximum trailer towing in the Honda Prologue is only 1500 pounds. The Macan Electric offers up to a 5512 lbs. towing capacity.

Standard Trailer Stability Management on the Macan Electric uses the Porsche Stability Management sensors to detect trailer sway, then uses individual brakes to counteract any swaying and help keep the tow vehicle and trailer steady. The Prologue doesn’t offer electronic trailer sway control.

J.D. Power and Associates surveys of service recipients show that Porsche service is better than Honda. J.D. Power ranks Porsche first in service department satisfaction. With a 31% lower rating, Honda is ranked 7th.

Unlike the driver-only memory seat in the Prologue Touring/Elite, the Macan Electric offers an optional driver and passenger memory, so that when drivers switch, the memory setting adjusts the driver’s seat, steering wheel position and outside mirror angle and the front passenger seat also adjusts to the new passenger’s preset preferences.

The Macan Electric’s front and rear power windows all open or close with one touch of the switches, making it more convenient at drive-up windows and toll booths, or when talking with someone outside of the car. The Prologue’s rear power window switches have to be held the entire time to close them fully.

Heated windshield washer nozzles are standard on the Macan Electric to prevent washer fluid and nozzles from freezing and help continue to keep the windshield clear in sub-freezing temperatures. The Prologue doesn’t offer heated windshield washer nozzles.

To help drivers avoid possible obstacles, the Macan Electric has standard cornering lights to illuminate around corners when the turn signals are activated. The Prologue doesn’t offer cornering lights. The Macan Electric also offers optional adaptive headlights to illuminate around corners automatically by reading vehicle speed and steering wheel angle.

When the Macan Electric with available tilt-down mirrors is put in reverse, the passenger rearview mirror tilts from its original position. This gives the driver a better view of the curb during parallel parking maneuvers. Shifting out of reverse puts the mirror into its original position. The Prologue’s mirror doesn’t automatically adjust for backing.

The Porsche Macan Electric has power folding mirrors that offer unparalleled convenience while maneuvering in tight places or parked. With the mirrors folded it’s easier to walk past and help prevent parking damage. The mirrors can be quickly unfolded when the driver is ready to leave. Power folding mirrors are only offered on the Prologue Elite.

Both the Macan Electric and the Prologue have standard heated front seats. The Macan Electric also offers optional heated rear seats to keep those passengers extremely comfortable in the winter. Heated rear seats aren’t available in the Prologue.

The Macan Electric has a standard heated steering wheel to take the chill out of steering on extremely cold winter days before the vehicle heater warms up. A heated steering wheel is only available on the Prologue Elite.

The Macan Electric offers optional massaging front seats in order to maximize comfort and eliminate fatigue on long trips. Massaging seats aren’t available in the Prologue.

The Macan Electric’s optional Self Steering ParkAssist can parallel park or back into a parking spot by itself, starting, stopping and changing direction automatically. Optional Remote ParkAssist will park and retrieve your car remotely: press a button and watch it park itself. This is ideal for tight locations. The Prologue doesn’t offer an automated parking system.
