The Macan 4S Electric’s standard electric motors produces 26 more horsepower (509 vs. 483) and 88 lbs.-ft. more torque (604 vs. 516) than the Electrified GV70’s electric motors. The Macan GTS Electric’s standard electric motors produces 80 more horsepower (563 vs. 483) and 188 lbs.-ft. more torque (704 vs. 516) than the Electrified GV70’s electric motors. The Macan Turbo Electric’s standard electric motors produces 147 more horsepower (630 vs. 483) and 317 lbs.-ft. more torque (833 vs. 516) than the Electrified GV70’s electric motors.

For better traction and acceleration, the Macan Electric has larger standard rear tires than the Electrified GV70 (285/45R20 vs. 235/55R19). The Macan Electric’s optional rear tires are larger than the largest rear tires available on the Electrified GV70 (295/40R21 vs. 265/45R20).

The Macan Electric’s standard 285/45R20 rear tires provide better handling because they have a lower 45 series profile (height to width ratio) that provides a stiffer sidewall than the Electrified GV70’s standard 55 series tires. The Macan Electric’s optional 255/40R22 front and 295/35R22 rear tires have a lower 40 series front and 35 series rear profile than the Electrified GV70 AWD Advanced/Prestige’s 45 series tires.

For better ride, handling and brake cooling the Macan Electric has standard 20-inch wheels. Smaller 19-inch wheels are standard on the Electrified GV70. The Macan Electric’s optional 22-inch wheels are larger than the 20-inch wheels on the Electrified GV70 AWD Advanced/Prestige.

For greater off-road capability the Macan Electric Turbo/GTS has a 1.9 inches greater minimum ground clearance than the Electrified GV70 (8.8 vs. 6.9 inches), allowing the Macan Electric to travel over rougher terrain without being stopped or damaged. The Macan Electric’s minimum ground clearance is 2 inches higher than on the Electrified GV70 (8.9 vs. 6.9 inches).

The design of the Porsche Macan Electric amounts to more than styling. The Macan Electric has an aerodynamic coefficient of drag of .25 Cd. That is significantly lower than the Electrified GV70 (.29) and many sports cars. A more efficient exterior helps keep the interior quieter and helps the Macan Electric get better fuel mileage.

The front grille of the Macan Electric uses electronically controlled shutters to close off airflow and reduce drag when less engine cooling is needed. This helps improve highway fuel economy. The Electrified GV70 doesn’t offer active grille shutters.

The Macan Electric’s standard towing capacity is much higher than the Electrified GV70’s (4409 vs. 3500 pounds). Maximum trailer towing in the Genesis Electrified GV70 is only 3500 pounds. The Macan Electric offers up to a 5512 lbs. towing capacity.

Standard Trailer Stability Management on the Macan Electric uses the Porsche Stability Management sensors to detect trailer sway, then uses individual brakes to counteract any swaying and help keep the tow vehicle and trailer steady. The Electrified GV70 doesn’t offer electronic trailer sway control.

J.D. Power and Associates surveys of service recipients show that Porsche service is better than Genesis. J.D. Power ranks Porsche first in service department satisfaction. With a 78% lower rating, Genesis is ranked 29th.

Unlike the driver-only memory system in the Electrified GV70 Advanced/Prestige, the Macan Electric offers an optional driver and passenger memory, so that when drivers switch, the memory setting adjusts the driver’s seat, steering wheel position and outside mirror angle and the front passenger seat also adjusts to the new passenger’s preset preferences.

Heated windshield washer nozzles are standard on the Macan Electric to prevent washer fluid and nozzles from freezing and help continue to keep the windshield clear in sub-freezing temperatures. The Electrified GV70 doesn’t offer heated windshield washer nozzles.

The Porsche Macan Electric has power folding mirrors that offer unparalleled convenience while maneuvering in tight places or parked. With the mirrors folded it’s easier to walk past and help prevent parking damage. The mirrors can be quickly unfolded when the driver is ready to leave. Power folding mirrors are only offered on the Electrified GV70 Advanced/Prestige.

The Macan Electric has a standard heated steering wheel to take the chill out of steering on extremely cold winter days before the vehicle heater warms up. A heated steering wheel is only available on the Electrified GV70 Advanced/Prestige.

The Macan Electric is available in both rear-wheel drive and four-wheel drive configurations. The Electrified GV70 doesn’t offer a two-wheel drive configuration.
